In August 2017 Karlee Wagoner, Nurse Practitioner, joined the Dermatology & Laser Center of Chapel Hill team. Karlee works collaboratively with Dr. Chris Adigun to provide high-quality, patient-centered dermatologic care.
As a board certified nurse practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, Karlee began her career in nursing in 1996 after graduating from Watts School of Nursing. An advocate for continuing education, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner in 2005 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Karlee is available to see patients for all general dermatology skin care needs including acne, rosacea, dermatitis, skin cancers, actinic keratosis, and more. Karlee also treats patients for skin rejuvenating laser treatments and laser treatments for unsightly leg veins (sclerotherapy). In addition, Karlee provides a sensitive and caring approach to patients suffering with acne. Acne is more than just a temporary inconvenience; it is a disease that has significant dermatologic and psychologic consequences. Karlee gains a high level of professional gratification in seeing the transformation in her acne patients.
Karlee lives in Hillsborough with her husband, Cleve, and their three daughters, Kara, Kirsten, and Natalee. She enjoys spending time with her many barn animals, as well as traveling.
